Dhirendra Swarup

A veteran of the Ministry of Finance in India, he was appointed as the first chairman of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) in 2004. PFRDA is intended to be the key player in the establishment of the New Pension Scheme (India) (NPS) in India. In 2011 he was nominated as chairman of the Financial Planning Standards Board India (FPSBI).[1] He is a former member of TAGUP. Currently, he is member-convener of Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission set up by the Government of India.
