Diamond Necklace is the soundtrack album to the 2012 Malayalam romance film of the same name, directed by Lal Jose and starring Fahadh Faasil and Samvrutha Sunil. The soundtrack album includes four tracks composed by Vidyasagar and was released on April 2012 by Satyam Audios.[1]
Background
The original soundtrack and background score were composed by Vidyasagar who had collaborated with Lal Jose in his previous films Neelathamara, Mulla, Chanthupottu etc... Rafeeq Ahammed wrote the lyrics well.The song Nilamalare was well noted by the audience.

Reviews
The ever dependable Vidyasagar - Lal Jose combination is back again with an immensely tuneful OST in Diamond Necklace.[2] The song Nilamalare sung by Nivas is wonderfully orchestrated. The flute and tabla in the arrangements was creating absolute magic. In the song Thottu Thottu sung by Najeem Arshad and Abhirami Ajai the lyrics is on both malayalam - tamil part it was really fantastic. The music approach of Vidyasagar is different from his other movies based on the BGM and also the tracks.. The songs of this film were marked as the superhits songs of 2012 in Malayalam.
Awards and Nominations
For the great Composition, Vidyasagar got Filmfare Award for Best Music Director in Malayalam and also Nominated in SIIMA Award for Best Music Director.
