Acanthophila alacella is a moth of the Gelechiidae family. It is known from most of Europe, the northern Caucasus, Georgia and Iran.[2]

The wingspan is 13–14 mm. Adults are on wing from July to August.[3]
The larva feed on lichens on tree-trunks.
