Richard Harrison Smith (born July 21, 1927) is a former Major League Baseball infielder. He played parts of five seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1951 until 1955, mostly as a third baseman, but also at shortstop and second base. He never played in more than 29 games in a season, nor did he ever have a batting average higher than .174.
