Dick Upex (26 June 1892 – 22 May 1979) was an English professional football inside left who played in the Football League for Charlton Athletic.[1] He also played Southern League football for Croydon Common and Southend United.[2]
Personal life
Tilley fought as a private with the 17th (Service) Battalion of the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment) during the First World War and saw action at Vimy Ridge, Loos, Cambrai and Lens.[2][3] He also served in the Labour Corps.[3]
