Didier Mouron

Jesrad, 2006

Didier Mouron is a Swiss artist (naturalized Canadian), he was born on July 3, 1958 in Vevey.

From his first public appearances in 1976, Didier Mouron has been distinguished by an exceptional mastery of the pencil.

« He mystifies the initiated with his unique and exceptional mastery consisting of elaborating his canvases in one stroke without any prior sketches or retouching. Many don’t hesitate to qualify his technique as a pure phenomenon of the... unrealistic. »

Didier Mouron Words :

« I live as I paint and I paint as I live. I am travelling through an utopian world filled with the inconstant, the unattainable and the irrealism… As to technique, let's say that... It is in scribbling that one becomes a scribbler ! ».

Didier Mouron has been called "The king of the pencil".[1] He lives in Switzerland.

« Totm »

A Revolutionary “Off-the-Wall” Idea for Displaying Art.

In 2001, Didier Mouron returned to Switzerland and developed a new way to present his artwork. He created a cutting-edge structure to challenge the way art is presented: “beyond walls”

Collaborating with a team of designers, Didier Mouron produced an art support which he baptized: “TOTM”. It is a straight, simple, pure aluminum structure.

The TOTM represents the end of an ancestral dependence between the painting and the wall.
