The Portuguese Catholic Diocese of Leiria–Fátima (Latin: Dioecesis Leiriensis–Fatimensis) has existed under this name since 1984, the diocese of Leiria being renamed in that year. It is a suffragan of the archdiocese of Lisbon.[1]
The diocese of Leiria was re-established in 1918, having first been created in 1545 and suppressed in 1881.[2]
