Directorate of Underground Resistance

Directorate of Underground Resistance (Polish: Kierownictwo Walki Podziemnej, short KWP) was one of the agendas of the Polish Underground State created during World War II. It was created in 1943 from the Directorate of Civil Resistance and Directorate of Covert Resistance. It carried over the tasks previously reserved for both directorates.

KWP was commanded collectively by the commander of the Armia Krajowa, its chief of staff, commander of the KeDyw, chief of Bureau of Information and Propaganda and a representative of the Government Delegate’s Office at Home.
