Dirk Powell
Dirk Powell is an American musician, composer, producer and songwriter.
Powell has won four Grammy Awards and has been a guest on American television shows including Late Night with David Letterman, The Today Show and American Masters. He has recorded with musicians like Loretta Lynn, Irma Thomas as well as Tim O'Brien and most recently received fame by recording with Rock legend Eric Clapton on his 2016 studio album I Still Do.[1]
Powell is considered one of the world's leading experts on traditional Appalachian fiddle and banjo styles.[2]
