Dishergarh Ambika Charan Institution is the oldest school in the locality offering Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Educations under WBBSE and WBCHSE. Founded in 1895 the school still has its old buildings operational and serving education to the local children.

History

The school was established by the local zamindar Sri Ambika Charan Layek in 1895. Initially the institution had only primary and secondary part of education and in 1952 it was extended up to class XII. The school has its own playground and a large open campus. It also has its own staff quarters for housing its teachers. In the late 1990s the hostel facility had been terminated and the hostel buildings went abandoned.

Old Building

The old building contains the offices and laboratories and classes for HS section. The old building has its own garden.

Secondary Section Building

This building is the largest one in the school having the most number of class rooms and a couple of hall room.

New Building

With the new building the school enlarges it to a high facilitated institution with a computer lab and a geography lab on 1st floor. <---->

Primary Section

The Primary section comes under a completely different administration. It offers I-IV standards of primary education.

Playgrounds

The playground of DACI is one of the bigest ground in the locality. DACI organizes Inter-class football tournament every year in this ground. <---->
