Distictis
Distictis is a genus of climbing woody species belonging to the Bignoniaceae family and the Astrids clade Asteridae. The species inhabit tropical and subtropical America including the West Indies. They display trumpet-shaped flowers, and wavy broad, alternated leaves with smooth margins. The genus includes 10-11 species, including several ornamental garden species.[1]
Species
- Distictis buccinatoria[2][3] A synonym is Bignonia B.[4] Another synonym is Phaedranthus Lindleyanus.[5] It is known in Mexico as The "Blood Trumpet" Climber. Evergreen. It has a purple-red trumpetshaped flower.
- Distictis gnaphalantha[6][7] This species is distributed from Mexico to Peru.
- Distictis racemosa[8] Its synonyms are Bignonia Magnoniifolia,[9] Distictella Broadwayana[10] and Distictella Racemosa[11]
- Distictis robinsonii[12] Its synonym is Anemopaegma Carrerense.[13][14]
