District Council of Light (1977-1996)

The District Council of Light was a local government area in South Australia. It was created in 1977 with the amalgamation of the District Council of Freeling and the District Council of Mudla Wirra. It ceased to exist on 1 March 1996 when it was amalgamated with the District Council of Kapunda to form the District Council of Light and Kapunda (later renamed the Light Regional Council).[1][2]
