Doc Johnson is a California-based sex toy company. It was founded in 1976 by Reuben Sturman with Ron Braverman at the helm. It is run by Ron Braverman and his son Chad.[3][4]
Overview
It is one of the largest sex toy companies in the world and they manufacture the majority of their products at their factory in North Hollywood, California.[5] As of 2012, it employs over 500 people, and has been described by Los Angeles Magazine as "the Procter & Gamble of sex toys".
Doc Johnson's major competitors in the U.S. sex toy industry include California Exotics, Pipedream Products and Topco.[5]
Product line
Among its other products, it manufactures products modeled on the anatomy of famous porn actors that include Jeff Stryker, Jenna Jameson and James Deen.[6]

Doc Johnson products are distributed worldwide and available through a variety of retailers such as Adam and Eve, Amazon,[3] and Walgreens[7] food and drug stores.
