Dojran (Macedonian: Дојран [ˈdɔjran]) is a municipality in southeastern part of Republic of Macedonia. Nov Dojran is the village where the municipal seat is found. Dojran Municipality is part of the Southeastern Statistical Region.
Geography
The municipality borders Bogdanci Municipality to the west, Valandovo Municipality to the north, and Greece to the east and south.
Demographics
According to the last national census from 2002 this municipality has 3,426 inhabitants.[1]
Ethnic groups in the municipality include:
- Macedonians = 2,641 (77.1%)
- Turks = 402 (11.7%)
- Serbs = 277 (8.1%)
- others.
