Don't Breathe is a 2016 American horror film directed by Fede Alvarez and written by Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues. The film stars Dylan Minnette, Jane Levy, Stephen Lang, Daniel Zovatto and Sergej Onopko. The film is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2016, by Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films.

Production
On October 30, 2014, it was announced Fede Alvarez would direct the film.[5] On May 1, 2015, Daniel Zovatto joined the cast.[4] On May 22, 2015, Dylan Minnette was cast in the film.[2] On June 18, 2015, Jane Levy and Stephen Lang joined the cast.[3] Principal photography began on June 29, 2015.[6] Though the film is set in Detroit, it was primarily shot in Hungary; only a few shots of the Detroit ruins were shot in that city.[7]
Release
The film premiered at South by Southwest on March 12, 2016.[1] The film is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2016, by Screen Gems.[8]
