A high school, a lower primary school and a boarding were started. It began as an English-medium and a Malayalam-medium school and the Government sanctioned the Don Bosco High School as an unaided but recognised school on May 6, 1962. The Malayalam-medium section was discontinued later. A boarding section too was started on January 2, 1963, which was closed later on.
