Donita Rose-Villarama, (née Donita Rose Ramos Cavett-Villarama), also known as Donita Rose, Donita, is a Filipino actress, TV Host and former MTV Asia VJ.[1][2]

Biography

She was born in Utah, U.S. on December 5, 1974 and moved to the Philippines when she was five years old. She is the eldest daughter of an American father and a Filipino mother from Pangasinan but migrated to Angeles City in Pampanga. Donita has three siblings.[3][4][5]

Donita Rose was FHM's 2001 Sexiest of the Philippines. Donita married Eric Villarama in June 2003, the couple having lived in Singapore since 2002. The couple's son, Joshua Paul Villarama, born in 2004, is named after her two younger brothers. Donita and Eric are born-again Christians. In the summer of 2007, they moved to Manila.[6]

Career

She joined That's Entertainment and was linked to Gary Estrada. Her 1st movie was an action movie Gabo in 1989 by Regal Entertainment. Her 1st Comedy Movie was Mandurugas in 1991 and followed her box office hit Alabang Girls in 1992 by VIVA Entertainment. She played Barbie Doll in a sitcom called Ober Da Bakod. Her first movie is Katabi Ko'y Mamaw. Donita formerly hosted ABS-CBN's morning news and entertainment show, Umagang Kay Ganda. In May 2014, she recently hosted a former Filipino morning variety-talk show on GMA called Basta Every Day, Happy!, a variety show which she co-hosts with Gladys Reyes, Alessandra De Rossi and Chef Boy Logro.
