Released in 2009,[1] doomby is a free online website builder, CMS (content management system) and web hosting platform. Its integrated web building tools and interfaces incorporate drag and drop and WYSIWYG editors with HTML code and CSS editing to adapt to users' existing experience with creating websites, thus enabling its use by novices or experienced website builders.

Features

Basic accounts are free and include common website features such as an online store, a blog, forums, polls and photo albums. A number of optional paid services are also available to users, and include doombyPLUS (removing advertising, HTML-free Google AdSense integration and expanding file storage etc.), domain registration and an extended e-commerce feature set.

About doomby

The name doomby is inspired by the Pulaar word for mice: ndoombi[2] (a mouse being the logo both for doomby and for its French sister site E-monsite).

Corporate history

Based in Amiens, France, doomby is published by Awelty SARL and is the global brand name of E-monsite. In October 2009, it was one of the 200 most popular websites in France.[3]
