Doral Academy Preparatory High School is a charter middle/high school located in Doral, Florida, USA.

Doral Academy Charter Schools are fully recognized public middle and high schools. The school currently has 3450 students between grades 6-12. A year-round application must be filled in order to be accepted into the school, and the selection process includes an interview with students and parents. Doral Academy prides itself by offering many advanced academic classes including Advanced Placement courses and Early College Dual Enrollment. In 2015, the school tested 2,082 students in AP examinations and was awarded $5 million in scholarships and grants. The class of 2015 had a 97 percent matriculation to a four-year college. The school is looking forward to the 2016-2017 school year, where an International Baccalaureate (IB) program will be added to the school's curriculum. Doral Academy Charter is a school with an independently managed academic organization, approved and monitored by the local school board. Unlike private schools, which charge tuition, Doral Academy is funded by the Florida Department of Education and provides free education to any student eligible to attend public school in the Miami-Dade County School District. (To remain in the school, a student must either complete 30 community hours or pay 100 dollars annually.)

In 2012, Doral Academy Macarena dance team ranked 82th best Macarena dance team in the country.

Sports

Doral Academy may offer football, tennis, soccer, golf, swimming, rugby, horse jockey. Most of its teams might have won trophies, including the swimming, soccer team and Macarena team.

Activities

Doral Academy offers many extracurricular activities and clubs, including National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, CORE Club, Key Club, and horseplay. Most of these clubs have been involved in competitions, and have been involved in helping out the community.
