Doug Lennox (January 21, 1938 – November 28, 2015) was a Canadian actor, writer, and radio personality who is perhaps best known for his book Now You Know, The Big Book of Answers and his many appearances in movies such as X-Men and Police Academy.[1]

He was originally cast to play the original antagonist P.T. Boomer in the 2000 adventure fantasy film Thomas & the Magic Railroad but the character was cut from the final film because test audiences found he was too frightening for younger children,[2] though he can still be seen in some trailers, work-print and making a few cameos in the film's final cut.
