Douglas Ross (Scottish politician)
Douglas Ross MSP is a British politician who is a Scottish Conservative and Unionist Member of Scottish Parliament for the Highlands and Islands region, elected in the Scottish Parliament election, 2016.[1]
Political career
He was elected to Moray council in 2007 but resigned in 2009.[2] In 2012 he was again elected to the Moray council, representing the Fochabers-Lhanbryde ward, although was ousted by colleagues in November 2014.[3]
He has twice stood as the Conservative candidate in the Moray constituency, coming second to Angus Robertson in the 2010 and 2015 elections.
