Douvilleiceras is a genus of ammonites from the Cretaceous. Its fossils have been found in Europe, North America, and South America.
Distribution
Douvilleiceras may be found in the Cretaceous of Angola, Brazil, Canada, the Dominican Republic, France, Iran, Japan, Madagascar, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, Switzerland, USSR, the United Kingdom, Alaska and Texas.[2] D. inaequinodum fossils have been found in Albian strata of France.[3][4]
Description
Shells of Douvilleiceras inaequinodum can reach a diameter of about 8–10 cm (3.1–3.9 in).[3][4]
