Dr. Moopens Academy is a private coeducational, multi-institutional academy located in the Wayanad district to provide the best healthcare at affordable cost by hospital’s founder Dr. Azad Moopen, a well known philanthropist and remarkable entrepreneur.[1][2][3] Dr. Moopens Academy reaching at the meridian into a Deemed University and center of learning excellence for higher education and research.

DM Education and Research Foundation

DM Education and Research Foundation (DMERF) is a charitable educational trust created and constituted as a Educational Charitable Trust solely for the purpose of promoting and imparting Medical, Para-medical, Engineering, Technical, Management, Vocational and all other allied studies including Higher Education and Research and scientific knowledge.[4][5] It has been registered with sub registrar of Kozhikode on August 2010 with registered office at Naseera Nagar, Meppadi, Wayanad, Kerala.

DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences

DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences (aka DM WIMS) is a private medical college near Wayanad District, Kalpetta.[11] It is a 300-bed teaching hospital, on the outskirts of Meppadi town, Kerala. The hospital was founded in 2010 by Dr. Azad Moopen, an Indian physician and philanthropist.[12] It is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences and Medical Council of India.[8]

DM WIMS Medical College Hospital

The hospital was set up on 50 acres of land near Naseera Nagar, Meppadi. After DM WIMS became a teaching hospital in 2010, a separate Center for Research was established. The hospital is sought to be 1000 beds, out of which 700 are teaching beds and 300 beds will be for the medical facilities.[13] It has clinical departments including Preclinical and Para clinical departments, laboratories, library, Hostels, museum, administration office and a teaching hospital. The campus also has a playground and indoor sports facilities.[14]

DM WIMS Medical College

DM WIMS Medical College was established in the year 2013 and has an annual intake of 150 students. The Medical College with associated teaching hospital, staff accommodation and ancillary buildings are part of this project.[15][16]

DM WIMS Nursing College

DM WIMS Nursing College was incoporated in 2014, dedicated to students for nursing practice at Graduate, Masters and Doctoral levels. The DM WIMS Nursing College offers a 4-year BSc course.[17]

DM WIMS Pharmacy College

The DM WIMS Pharmacy College is in the final stage of processing and will be commissioned in the academic year 2016-2017.[8]
