Drama is a 2012 Indian Kannada romantic comedy thriller written, directed and co-produced by Yogaraj Bhat under the banner Yogaraj Movies and Jayanna Combines. It stars Yash, Radhika Pandit, Sathish Ninasam and Sindhu Lokanath in leading roles and Ambareesh in an extended cameo appearance.
Music for the film was scored by V. Harikrishna while lyrics for the soundtrack were written by the successful combination of Jayanth Kaikini and Yogaraj Bhat. Krishna was roped in as the cinematographer for the film, who had previously worked with Bhat in the massively successful film, Mungaru Male.

Production
After the moderate success of Paramathma, the last venture of Yogaraj Bhat, this was the second project for the production house, Jayanna Combines.[2] Hindi and Marathi cinema actor Atul Kulkarni was picked for the negative role after Prakash Rai, who was the original choice for the role.[3] He was again replaced by Tamil actor Sampath Raj.[4] V Harikrishna scored the music and background score. S Krishna, who previously worked on Mungaru Male, conducted camera work. Drama is produced by Jayanna and Bhogendra.

Critical reception
Drama received generally positive reviews from film critics upon its release. DNA gave the film three and a half star rating praising the acting and the technical departments.[16] Rediff gave the film 3/5 rating and concluded saying, "(the film) is worth a watch for all the entertainment the young team gives us."[17] Prakash Upadhyaya of Oneindia gave the film three out of five stars and commented, "Hilarious one-liners, romantic songs and a little bit of philosophy. Last but not least, there is a message in the film."[18] IBN live reported 'Drama' is a film that genuine Kannada film audience can not miss.[19] Bharatstudent reviewed as Passable entertainer, can be watched once.[20] Chitraloka rated as spicy taste of masala.[21] Times of India gave 3.5 star rating.[22] Indiaglitz rated it 7/10.[23]
Box office
Drama got a fantastic opening upon release. The film went on to be one of the highest grossers of 2012 by completing 100 days of run[24] and grossing ₹12 Crore against its ₹4 Crore budget and was declared as a Super Hit.[25] The film elevated Yash to Star Status and established a loyal youth fan following for the actor, including many female fans.

Soundtrack
The music of the film was composed by V. Harikrishna. The audio album was released in the end of September, 2012 and was well received. "Thundh Haikla Sahavasa" was a huge hit.[33]
