Dubai World Central Aviation City is being built in Dubai World Central, in Dubai. The entire development will span over an area of 80,000 sq ft (7,400 m2) this will make it the world's largest maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) centre in the world. It will cost US$12 million. Construction has already begun on this project, with start of operations planned in 2009[1] DWC Aviation city is separated into the following zones:
- Heliport Zone
- Educational Zone
- Academic Zone
- Industrial Zone
- Hub for aircraft component and parts supply
