Duddenhoe End is a small village in northwest Essex, postcode CB11, in between Royston and Saffron Walden. It contains a village hall, no shops (the last pub, The Woodman, was converted into a house in the late 1990s), and has a thatched church which was converted from a barn in the 19th Century. It did not have a mains sewerage system until 2005.
