Dwarf On A Pig is a comedy/parody song and video written by British/New Zealander Christopher Winchester[1] and recorded by Winchester's band, The Esgaroth Three.[2]

The song was inspired by Billy Connolly's character, Dáin Ironfoot, a dwarf who charges on a pig into the Battle of the Five Armies.[3] In an interview with Empire magazine, Peter Jackson had posed the question: "Why wouldn’t you want to ride a pig if you were a dwarf?"[4] Winchester's response was: "Well, personally, you know, if I was a dwarf, I’d rather have a warg?"[5] (an evil beast, descendant from werewolves).

Music video

A video for the song was filmed in Pukerua Bay, New Zealand, Jackson's childhood home town, and released to coincide with the release of Jackson's third and final Hobbit film installment.
