Dylan Murphy (born c.1991) currently is working as the assistant coach of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League. He attended Emory University and transferred to Columbia University.

Murphy played high school basketball at Trinity School, however he did not play for watch Columbia Lions games. While a student he was offered an internship opportunity with ESPN, while covering the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Murphy was introduced to Sebastian Pruiti,the video coordinator and assistant coach of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants was a former writer turned coaching professional. Pruiti moved on to the Oklahoma City Thunder and there was a vacancy on theFort Wayne Mad Ants staff. He reached out to Murphy for the position.

After Steve Gansey left to coach the Canton Charge Murphy became the assistant coach for the team.[1] After returning to become the Head coach, he acnnounced the coaching staff. On October 21, 2015 Steve Gansey named Murphy to the 2015-2016 coaching staff of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.[2]
