Electronics For You Group has grown to be the largest media player in the Indian electronics industry since its founding in 1969. With a print circulation of 500,000 in South East Asia, and an online global reach of 5,000,000 per month, this lean 200 people strong company has the reach to influence an entire industry of technical decision makers while having direct connections with a significant majority of the key players in this industry. Today, this media group is spread across eight cities of India.
Its print publications not only reach every nook and corner of India (its mailing list has over 6,000 zip-codes) but are also read by techies in other south Asian countries like Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Afghanistan. Its online presence is significant in countries like the USA, European Union besides the countries in immediate neighbourhood of India.
The EFY Group currently manages 5 magazines, 6 web portals, 3 annual events, a directory, around 30 book titles and various social media communities. The company also provides hands-on training courses, and manufactures & markets Do-It-Yourself electronics projects and hobby kits.[2] They have 200 employees situated mostly in south east Asia. Two more organisations are part of the group: IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd and Kits’n’Spares.[3]

EFY Tech Center
EFY Tech Center provides short-term technical courses that are designed to provide students with practical hands-on training.[5] This training is being imparted through:
- In-house training at EFY centres at various places in India
- On-site training in institute
EFY Annual Events
- The EFY Readers' Choice Awards or "EFY Awards" are held annually to recognise the outstanding achievements of leaders and companies in the Indian electronics industry. These Awards are given for core and popular electronics products. The event is supported by industry bodies like ELCINA, CETMA and TEMA, and has attracted sponsorships from MNCs and Indian organisations.[6] The most recent iteration of this event was held at Le Meridian, Bangalore.
- Open Source India (formerly LinuxAsia) was first organised in 2003. This event is organised by the Forum for Open Source Initiatives in India (FOSII), in association with Open SourceFor You magazine.[7]
- EFY Expo, now called India Electronics Week focuses on the entire eco-system, including "components" and "manufacturing equipment", designing of products and innovation in manufacture.[8]
- Electronics Rocks is a conference for electronics design engineers' conference and will feature keynotes, star speakers, technical tracks, workshops, expo, innovation demos, et al. It will even host an Engineers' Party where a musical contest will be held amongst teams of various electronics firms. Dedicated tracks on Chip Design and System Design will run in parallel. Plus, there will be workshops and seminars.[9]
