eMolecules is a search engine for chemical molecules. The system was founded by scientists for scientists in 2005 with one goal in mind: reduce drug discovery timelines through improved efficiencies. After spending 25 years in drug discovery, eMolecules took a step back and looked at every step of compound sourcing, procurement and logistics and developed tools and standards to streamline the overwhelming process. 9 of the 10 largest pharmaceutical companies and 4 of the 5 largest biotechs work with eMolecules.
eMolecules works with 150 trusted suppliers in order to provide customers with a variety of options and services.
Database
- The database contains more than 7.0M unique molecules from commercial suppliers, like Acros, ASINEX, Accela ChemBio, ChemBridge, ChemDiv, Comgenex, Enamine Ltd, Fluka, InterBioScreen, Key Organics, Life Chemicals, Maybridge, Otava, Sigma-Aldrich, Specs, and many more.
- The database contains also all entries provided by NIST, PubChem, and DrugBank. Duplicated (non-unique) index numbers are resolved automatically.
Searching
Two public available search modules are provided
- The standard search allows querying for names, substructures, and suppliers.
- The expert search allows interactive searching using also a molecular weight range, CAS numbers, suppliers, etc. The search can be used to widen or restrict already found results.
