EPlanet Capital

ePlanet Capital (formerly ePlanet Ventures) is a venture capital firm.

Established in 1999 by Asad Jamal and Roderick Thomson, ePlanet Ventures pioneered the development of a global venture and growth capital business model. It was the first venture capital firm to utilise a global model with offices in Asia, Europe and the United States.

ePlanet consists of a team of more than 30 professionals around the globe in their offices located in Beijing, Bangalore, Seoul, London and Silicon Valley. They are also represented in Hong Kong and Shanghai. They have made over 100 investments around the globe since inception, including Baidu, Skype, Focus Media and Kong Zhong. Their portfolio companies have achieved an aggregate market value of over $40 billion.

Current Managing Partners of ePlanet Capital are Asad Jamal, Dennis Atkinson and Jerry Cho.

In 2011, ePlanet Ventures changed their name to ePlanet Capital.[1]

ePlanet Capital is one of the co-sponsors of Singularity University.[2]
