ESL One Cologne 2016 is an upcoming Electronic Sports League Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. It will be the ninth Valve-sponsored tournament in CS:GO history.[1] It will be held at the LANXESS Arena In Cologne, Germany from July 8–10. It will feature 16 teams from throughout the world competing. Cologne 2016 will be the second consecutive major with a prize pool of $1,000,000. [2]
Teams
In total, 16 teams will compete. The top eight finishers at MLG Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major Championship: Columbus are known as "Legends", and received a direct invitation to Cologne, and the eight teams that will emerge from the online qualifiers with the status of "Challenger", will also compete.
