Early Riser is the debut studio album released by Taylor McFerrin on June 2, 2014 through Brainfeeder. The album took nearly six years to complete.[7] McFerrin intended to sing on the entire record before realizing that it was not always necessary for him to sing over his music.[8][9]
Working on an album over a couple of years, you go through this stage of loving a song and then hating a song, then sometimes you need the space to listen back to it and realize that it was really dope after all.
