East Gadsden High School opened in the Fall of 2003 from the combination of Havana Northside High School in Havana, Florida and James A. Shanks High School in Quincy, Florida. It has approximately 1,100 students. The school colors are North Carolina blue and silver and the school mascot is the Jaguar.[3]
