Eastern Suburbs AFC
Eastern Suburbs is a semi-professional association football club in Kohimarama, New Zealand. They currently compete in the NRFL Premier League and starting from 2016, will also compete in the ASB Premiership.
Club history
Eastern Suburbs was formed in 1934 as a result of the merger of Tamaki United AFC (formed 1924) and Glen Innes (formed 1930). One of the country's strongest clubs, it has won all major honours in the country, including winning the prestigious national Chatham Cup on six occasions.
Malcolm McPherson is the current Head Coach of the the Eastern Suburbs Premier First Team while the Premier Reserves Team is coached by Tom Speers.
Titles include:
- Chatham Cup: 1951, 1953, 1965, 1968, 1969 and 2015
- New Zealand National Soccer League: 1971
- Northern Premier League: 1965, 1966 and 2015
- Auckland FA: 1948, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1957, and 1962
