Eastsheen

Not to be confused with East Sheen.

The Eastsheen cube is a mechanical puzzle that is meant to be smoother and faster than regular Rubik's Cubes. Note that the Taiwanese manufacturer, East Sheen Industrial Co., Ltd., brands their cubes as "Eastsheen".

Eastsheen manufactures three different types of cubes: the 2×2×2 (Pocket Cube), 4×4×4 (Rubik's Revenge) and 5×5×5 (Professor's Cube) version that comes in black and white.

Mini Cubes are small 2×2×2s with different straps. Multi cubes are joined 2×2×2s. They are also available in units of 2, 3, or 4 connected cubes. Gift Cubes (otherwise known as Picture Cubes) come with special stickers which mostly resemble a picture on each side when solved.

The Eastsheen version of the Professor's Cube uses a mechanism different from its rivals. The fixed centres hold the centre cubelets next to the central edges in place, which in turn hold the edge cubelets. The non-central edges hold the corners in place, and the internal sections of the corner pieces do not reach the centre of the cube.[1]
