The second song, "Mounomukharata", was inspired by the Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel song "The Sound of Silence". The sixth song takes a wistful look to the days of yore. The other songs are satirical, humorous, light-hearted and refreshing. As a Bengali band, Chandrabindoo became very successful, both critically as well as commercially. The mood of this, their first album, set the tone for their next albums, which inclined towards the nonsensical and the satirical, with a wry vision of the contemporary Bengali society. This album also treats global culture and politics in their trademark sarcastic tone.[1]
Aar Jani Na proved to be a surprise commercial success. In 2005, Chandrabindoo re-worked on their first album and made a few changes in the lyrics and the music and came out with a new album titled Ebhabeo Phire Asha Jae.
