Eckō Unltd. (also stylized as *eckō unltd.) is an American-based brand of urban lifestyle clothing and accessories founded by Marc Milecofsky, a fashion designer. It has been popular since the late 1990s, based in and headquartered in New Jersey, originally associated with Hip-Hop and skating culture it moved into the mainstream urban culture in the early 2000s.[1] It is most often associated with hip hop. The style is based on graffiti art. Its brand features a rhino as its logo.
History
The creation of Ecko Unltd. came into being from just six t-shirts and a can of spray paint. Marc 'Echo' Milecofsky began selling graffiti-style t-shirts in the mid 1980s and then founded his clothing brand, Ecko Unltd., in 1993 with investments from his twin sister, Marci, and friend, Seth Gerszberg.[2] In 2009, Eckō Unltd. had over $1 billion in global revenue and is the largest brand in streetwear.[3]
On October 27, 2009, Iconix Brand Group paid $109 million for a 51% stake in urban fashion brand Eckō Unltd. It acquired full ownership in May 2013.[4] Iconix Brand Group owns the intellectual property of the Ecko Unltd brand.

Zoo York is a "street"-style company that was formerly owned by Ecko Unltd, a company that marketed skateboards and various related apparel.
