Edawn Coughman (born July 21, 1988) is an American football offensive tackle for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He first enrolled at Dodge City Community College before transferring to Shaw University.[1] Coughman attended Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia.[2] He has also been a member of the Toronto Argonauts, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans.
Professional career
Toronto Argonauts
Coughman played in nine games for the Toronto Argonauts during the 2011 season. He was released in May 2012.[3]
Seattle Sehawks
Coughman was signed by the Seattle Seahawks on June 18, 2012. He was released by the Seahawks in August 2012.[3][4]
Dallas Cowboys
Coughman signed with the Dallas Cowboys on May 13, 2013.[3] He was released by the Cowboys on August 30, 2013.[5]
Buffalo Bills
Coughman was signed to the Buffalo Bills' practice squad on September 2, 2013. He was signed to a reserve/future contract by the Bills on December 30, 2013.[3] The Bills released Coughman on August 19, 2014.[6]
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Coughman signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 20, 2014.[7] The Buccaneers released Coughman on August 29, 2014.[8]
Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins signed Coughman to their practice squad on December 11, 2014.[9] He signed a futures contract on December 29.[10]
On May 4, 2015, he was waived by the Redskins.[11]
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Coughman signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on May 11, 2015.[12] He was released by the Buccaneers on September 5 and signed to the team's practice squad on September 6, 2015.[13][14] He was released by the Buccaneers on September 8, 2015.[15]
Houston Texans
Coughman was signed to the Houston Texans' practice squad on September 23, 2015.[16] He was released by the Texans on October 13, 2015.[17]
Arizona Cardinals
Coughman signed with the Arizona Cardinals on January 5, 2016.[17]
Personal life
Edawn has two children. A son and daughter. A son named Edmond and he is six.
