Murrayfield Wanderers Football Club is a rugby union side based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Formed in 1997 after the amalgamation of Murrayfield RFC (1971) and Edinburgh Wanderers FC (1868), both clubs brought together a long history of rugby excellence which can trace its roots back to 1868 when the Edinburgh Wanderers Club was formed.[1] The team currently compete in BT East Regional League Division 1 and play their home matches on the back pitches of Murrayfield Stadium, the home of Scottish Rugby.

Current Form

Murrayfield Wanderers finished in 10th place at the end of season 2010–11 but had a much more successful 2012–13, finishing in 4th place. The club currently have three men's teams playing on Saturday, a social team (Pirates) and a Colts (u18). They also boast one of the most successful women's team in Scotland who currently hold the Scottish Cup and are the current BT Women's Premier League Champions (2014–15) .
