Edmund Goodwyn
Edmund Goodwyn, M.D. (1756–1829) was an English medical writer.
Life
He was the son of Edmund Goodwyn, surgeon, of Framlingham, Suffolk. Goodwyn was born and baptised there on 2 December 1756. Having graduated M.D. he practised as a medical man in London, but retired to Framlingham some years before his death, which took place on 8 August 1829.

He published:
- Dissertatio Medica de morte Submersorum, Edinburgh, 1786.
- The Connexion of Life with Respiration; or an Experimental Inquiry into the Effects of Submersion, Strangulation, and several kinds of Noxious Airs on Living Animals … and the most effectual means of cure, London, 1788, (a translation of No. 1). Philadelphia edition, 1805.
