Edward Kwaku Utuka, who held the rank of major general of the Ghana Armed Forces, was a former border guards commander and member of the Supreme Military Council I & II, the ruling government of Ghana from 9 October 1975 to 4 June 1979.[1] He was an alumnus of the Accra Academy.
He was executed, along with former head-of-state Ignatius Acheampong on June 16, 1979, following a coup that deposed the government of Fred Akuffo.[2]
