Tony Green a.k.a. T. Money Green is a bass player, songwriter, and music producer best known for his work with The Dramatics, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Warren G, and George Clinton. Tony has established himself as a secret weapon whose signature bass lines have been a critical component to the success and longevity of several gold and platinum records throughout the years. As the Founder and CEO of Hyped International Records, and through his tenure as a veteran musician having collaborated with industry greats since the early 70's, Tony has amassed a tremendous vault of music. His extensive repertoire has been sampled by many well known artists such as Bone Thugz-n-Harmony, DMX, EPMD, Erykah Badu, Master P, Ruff Ryders, The Game, and Tupac.
Biography
Tony began playing the bass at the age of 14. He is right handed but plays bass upside down. After forming his first band in 1971, the Original 'Roadwork’ crew, T. Money got a gig working with The Dramatics at the age of 17, and earned his first gold album by 1977. Throughout two decades with the popular Motown group, T. Green wrote, produced, and played bass for the several of The Dramatics best works.
When Tony moved west to California and began working with Death Row Records (1992–1995) as a music producer, band director, and bass player. he assisted in the creation of the unique and internationally revered G-Funk and Gangsta Rap sound that can be heard on the majority of releases from the Death Row lineup during that time period. His talent helped developed hits from the albums Doggystyle (Snoop Dogg), All Eyez on Me (Tupac), Regulate (Warren G) and much more. During this time Tony also did music for several film soundtracks, including writing and producing two tracks from the Above the Rim Soundtrack (1994) which won Soundtrack of the Year at the 1995 Source Awards. Tony has also worked with Downsound Records in Jamaica where he co-produced multiple artists including Anthony B, Lukie D, Lady Saw and Elephant Man.

Tony actively maintains his role as CEO of his label Hyped International, developing a diverse roster of talent, and continues to play shows with his band Roadwork. He frequently collaborates with Studio A, and United Sound Systems; and many of his projects to date include a blend of original and eclectic Funk, Soul, R&B, Rock and Hip-Hop influences. Tony is continually engaging in philanthropic efforts to improve the city of Detroit.Tony works with the D-Man Foundation which developed the first recording studio of its kind that specializes in accommodating individuals with quadriplegia, severe mental/physical impairment, emotional impairment and cognitive impairment.
