Egliese Protestante Reformee du Burundi

The Egliese Protestante Reformee du Burundi is a young conservative Reformed denomination in Burundi. It is a mission of the Christian Reformed Church in the Netherlands. The church was founded in 2003 by a small group led by Rev. j. Bararu. The denomination now consists of 14 congregations 1,200 members and 7 ministers. In 2008 a request was made to train pastors. In 2010 Dutch theologians travelled to Bujumbara the capital to help train pastors, elders and deacons. In 2012 a schism happened Rev. Bararu departed, he was succeeded by Rev. Nimpagaritse. In 2012 a Synod was formed too. In 2013 the foundation stone of a new church building was laid in Kemange.[1] The denomination is a member of the World Reformed Fellowship.[2]

It has relationship with the Christian Reformed Church in North America.[3]
