Egmont Village is a settlement in Taranaki, New Zealand. State Highway 3 runs through it. New Plymouth is 12 km to the north-west, and Inglewood is 6 km to the south-east. Waiwhakaiho River and Mangaoraka Stream flow past to the west and east, respectively.[1][2]

The population of Egmont Village and its hinterland was 483 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 12 from 2001.[3]

Education

Egmont Village School is a coeducational full primary (years 1-8) school with a decile rating of 9 and a roll of over 100.[4] The school was founded in 1877.[5]
