El Adde (Somali: Ceel Cadde) is a town in the southwestern Gedo region of Somalia.

On 15 January 2016, Al-Shabaab militants attacked a Kenyan military base in El Adde killing over 160 soldiers.[1]
Overview
El Adde is the latest district added to the Gedo region. It is one of the most populated cities in the province.
Education
In terms of education, El Adde offers scholastic instruction from primary through to high school. Many El Adde High school graduates also go on to teach in other academic institutions in the larger region.
Health
The town has a General Hospital, which is mainly overseen by the regional diaspora community.
Transportation
Public transportation is through public buses or taxis, The taxis are usually minibuses that can sit at least twelve people and small sedans imported from Japan. Two people are responsible for each taxi, the driver and a Kirishboy (Garage Boy in English) who collects fares and calls out the taxi's destination.
Community
Established 2008 in Nairobi-Kenya. El Adde Youth Union serves the local youth. It is led by Hisham Ibrahim Abdullahi(xiish) (President) and Abdiraxman Ali Mohamed" (Vice President).
