El Afweyn District (Somali: Degmada Ceel Afweyn), also known as El Afweyne District, is a district in the northern Sanaag region of Somalia. Its capital lies at El Afweyn.
Demography
The El Af-Weyne district in western Sanaag is inhabitant by people from the Somali ethnic group, with the Habar Je'llo sub clan of the Isaaq especially well represented.[1]
