Christian Jiménez Bundo (born 2 July 1988 in Barcelona), known as "Porta", is a Spanish rapper. He became popular in 2006 through his huge success in social networks, with his demo No es cuestión de edades (2006) and No hay truco ( 2007), which were widely disseminated on the Internet, where he broke the record of downloads. Porta won greater popularity by releasing his first album En boca de tantos (2008). His third album Trastorno bipolar was released in 2009 but did not have the same sales success as his first LP because it did not have the same promotion. Both albums were released by Universal Music Label group. Over time, Porta had disagreements with his label and ended up resigning his contract on 24 August 2011. His previous work, Reset, was released on 7 May 2012 under the label PIAS Spain. After leaving the Universal Music label, his new album scored a number of sales and was welcomed by the public in a positive way and he gained more followers. His latest album Algo ha Cambiado was released on 10 June 2014 in physical format in Spain and in digital format (on iTunes) worldwide. No hay truco is Porta's most downloaded album. Porta has about 11 million followers on all his accounts online.[1]

Biography

He was born in Sarria, Barcelona, son of Antonio Jimenez and Antonia Bundo. Until ten years, Christian had been a normal guy interested in video games as all but one day when he was playing, he found a cassette on the floor, caught his attention and he listened and that was when it all started. Being a pre -teen, Christian was very interested in hip hop. He played amateur rap so the eleven years under the pseudonym " Carrier ", then joined a group called " The Bearers of Hip Hop" and were releasing several unreleased tracks. Later they changed their name to " Rap Comando" that eventually would be called " Porta " because it was too long. Around 2002-2003 he completed his first demo, called "Sin prisa pero sin pausa" between 2004-2005 and released their second LP under the name " Dispuestos a dar el golpe." Until today, these two demos have not come to light since Porta decided not to officially release them. Between 2005-2006, despite belonging to a wealthy family, Porta decided he should pay for his career with his own efforts and began to work to pay for his model and recording with one of the best known producers of Spain, Soma, founder Lebuqe record label specializing in hip-hop.

Musical career

2006-2008: Beginnings and popularity

When he joined Lebuqe. No hay truco was launched in January 2007, and quickly gained more than 5 million downloads thus removing the first position to its first LP called "No es cuestión de edades". The video quickly became the third most watched video in the history of Spain in YouTube with over 50 million views. . 2008-2009: En boca de tantos

In February 2008, Porta was again embroiled in controversy when the rumor that Porta had died of an overdose had spread across the network. Porta has achieved notable success with their models but this time it has been shown that is always going to beat himself getting more than 20 million Plays with her song "Sin ti" and more than 5 million to "Aprecia lo que tienes" . On 7 May 2012 he released his third full-length album, entitled "Reset" achieving win the award for best rap album, hip- hop and urban music. It features 17 tracks, all these recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio Lebuqe.

2014 : Algo ha Cambiado

On 11 June 2014 he released his fourth studio LP album titled "Algo ha cambiado" where he says he has changed his personality. This record has the collaborations of MC Gema, Eude, Isusko, Belen Alarcon, Holynigth and Eddie MV. It includes 13 tracks, all of them recorded, mixed and mastered in Lebuque Studios
