Electoral (Amendment) Act 1990

The Electoral (Amendment) Act, 1990 (No. 36/1990) was a law in Ireland which provided for parliamentary constituencies in the 27th Dáil Éireann.[1] The 27th Dáil was elected at the 1992 general election on 25 November 1992 and was dissolved on 6 June 1997.

This Act replaced the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1983, which defined the constituencies used for the 25th Dáil (1987–89) and the 26th Dáil Dáil (1989–92). It was itself replaced by the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1995, which created a new pattern of constituencies for the 28th Dáil (elected in 1997).
