Emily-Anne "Elf" Lyons is a stand-up comedian, writer and actress. She has performed in England, France, Germany and Australia.[1][2]
Elf has a BA in Drama from Bristol University and an MA in Theatre & Performance from Queen Mary University of London.
She was Funny Women Finalist & Runner Up in 2013.[3][4][5] Her solo show Being Barbarella was an IdeasTap award winner to perform at VAULT Festival at The Vaults, London Waterloo before being successfully crowdfunded via IdeasTap to travel to Australia to perform at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2015.[6]
She is a founder member, and compere, of "The Secret Comedians", a small comedy collective who run comedy nights in East London[7] and is a regular compere at the Camden Comedy Club in Camden, London.[8] She is a co-director of OddFlock, a London based theatre company made up of a group of Drama graduates from the University of Bristol.[9] Since graduating from Bristol University Elf has directed at Riverside Studios, The Lion & Unicorn Theatre, Etcetera Theatre and was a previous General Manager of the Finborough Theatre.
She is the daughter of economist Gerard Lyons.
